Mrs. Carolyn Roell (Special Education)

Mrs. Carolyn Roell is a graduate of the State University College at Oneonta. For two years after graduation, Mrs. Roell served as an admissions counselor at her alma mater. After leaving that position, Mrs. Roell secured her Master of Science degree in College and Agency Counseling from Plattsburgh State University. While at Plattsburgh, Mrs. Roell worked as a residence hall director in addition to performing a full-time counseling internship at Clinton Community college. Upon leaving Plattsburgh, Mrs. Roell worked at Hofstra University in the residential life office for one year. During this time, Mrs. Roell realized that she wanted to become a New York State certified School Counselor. Mrs. Roell then enrolled as a student in the Professional Diploma in School counseling program at Hofstra. While attending Hofstra as a student, Mrs. Roell worked as a teacher assistant at Sachem South High School with a wonderful and talented young man named Luis. While working with Luis, Mrs. Roell realized that her passion for counseling focused upon students enrolled in special education.
