The Sachem High School North Foreign Language Honor Society hosted a Unity Fair on Oct. 18. Students visited the fair during their world language classes to learn about different countries and cultures from around the globe.

Students chose a country to represent and set up a display to teach their peers. The displays featured food for students to enjoy, as well as poster boards with facts and traditions listed. World language classes got their passports stamped as they traveled throughout the fair. Students took pride in their heritage and were excited to celebrate the diversity among the Sachem community.

“All it’s about is embracing inclusivity and diversity amongst all the different cultures that these students really want to represent,” Foreign Language Honor Society secretary Alain Alarcon said.
