Students and staff at Waverly Avenue Elementary School joined together in a heartwarming display of unity and compassion during the school’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. 

The event, held on the school grounds, has become a beloved October tradition, one that blends education, awareness, and community spirit. Wearing pink and filled with energy, students marched around the building in support of those affected by breast cancer. 

The highlight of the event came when the entire school formed a giant ribbon on the field, a powerful visual symbol of hope and solidarity. The moment was captured from above, creating an inspiring image that reflected the school’s collective commitment to spreading awareness.

Teachers incorporated lessons throughout the week on kindness, empathy, and the importance of health awareness, ensuring that the event served not just as a fundraiser or photo opportunity but also as a meaningful educational experience.
