The Sachem East Volunteer Club demonstrated the power of service and community on December 11, hosting its annual Pancakes for Parkinson’s fundraiser, which raised more than $1,600 in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

The event brought together students and staff for a morning of food, fellowship, and philanthropy, with proceeds benefiting one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to advancing Parkinson’s disease research and treatment. Volunteers worked together to prepare and serve pancakes while also educating attendees about the importance of supporting research efforts for the disease.

Club members expressed their gratitude to the Sachem East school community for its strong turnout and generosity, noting that the fundraiser's success was made possible by the collective effort of students, teachers, and staff who chose to support the cause.
