In a joyous celebration of athletic excellence and community pride, the Sachem High School East field hockey team was formally recognized today by the Suffolk County Legislature for its incredible 2025 season, culminating in a Long Island Championship.

Suffolk County Legislator and Sachem alum Anthony Piccirillo personally presented the legislative citation to the players, coaches, and school administrators.

Leg. Piccirillo praised the team’s resilience, teamwork, and commitment to excellence during the ceremony — qualities he said reflect the best of Sachem and Suffolk County. 

The legislative proclamation highlighted the team’s journey through a tough schedule and their ultimate triumph on Long Island. This feat has not only brought home a title but also galvanized school spirit throughout the district.
