It was a meaningful and heartfelt morning at Sachem Academy as students and staff came together to honor PS I Love You Day, a movement dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, kindness, and connection.

The highlight of the day was a special visit from Cayuga Elementary teacher and PS I Love You Day co-founder Jaimie DiPalma, who spoke with Academy students and staff about the importance of compassion, inclusion, and the reminder that they are never alone.

PS I Love You Day, founded on Long Island, has grown into a powerful initiative embraced by schools and communities across the region and beyond. Its message — centered on kindness, unity, and mental health awareness — resonated deeply with Sachem Academy’s students, who engaged thoughtfully with DiPalma’s words and reflected on how they can “be the light” for others in their daily lives.
