Creativity is taking center stage in Mrs. Cooney and Mr. Caggiano’s fifth-grade classrooms at Tamarac Elementary.

During Writing Workshop, students are channeling their inner authors and illustrators, inspired by the popular How to Catch book series. After studying the series' structure, style, and playful storytelling, the class made an exciting transition from readers to creators.

Now, armed with vivid imaginations and colorful illustrations, students are crafting their own original “How to Catch” adventures, complete with clever traps, humorous twists, and detailed artwork. The project not only strengthens narrative writing skills but also encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence as young writers bring their unique ideas to life.
