Team Up 4 Community presented a $1,500 check to the Sachem North Interact Club in recognition of the club’s second-place finish in a recent community-wide vote celebrating impactful service initiatives.

Teresa Webb, executive director of Team Up 4 Community, was on hand to present the check and speak with students about the importance of community service, leadership, and taking action to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

The award stems from the Interact Club’s outstanding performance in the Long Island Winter Service Challenge, where its signature “Stuff-A-Bus” campaign earned regional recognition for mobilizing students, families, and local partners around a shared mission of giving back. The initiative rallied donations to support neighbors in need during the winter months and showcased the power of student-led service.

Proceeds from the competition will be directed toward purchases for the Sachem Food Pantry, further strengthening the pantry’s ability to meet rising needs across the community. Club leaders said the funds will help ensure shelves remain stocked with essential items for local families.

The Sachem North Interact Club is dedicated to service, leadership, and civic engagement. Through hands-on projects like Stuff-A-Bus, members learn to identify community needs, collaborate effectively, and create solutions that make a measurable difference.

Team Up 4 Community encourages athletes and all individuals to take decisive action to create positive and lasting change in their local and global communities. By fostering a culture of social responsibility and active involvement in service, Team Up 4 Community empowers people to make a meaningful, lasting impact where they live and beyond.
