Sachem Students Compete on National Stage at International Career Development Conference

Sachem students took their talents to the national level this past weekend, traveling to Atlanta to compete in the prestigious International Career Development Conference after earning qualification through the New York State competition.

The event brought together more than 20,000 high school students, advisors, and industry professionals from across the globe, offering participants the opportunity to showcase their skills in highly competitive fields such as marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

Representing Sachem with pride were Khrystyna Tomenchuk, Pon Aaranik Anand Raj, and Keya Pai, who joined thousands of peers in rigorous competitions, networking opportunities, and professional development experiences designed to prepare the next generation of business leaders.

While the group did not bring home DECA glass this year, the experience proved invaluable, providing students with real-world insight, meaningful connections, and lasting memories on an international stage.

The trip marked another milestone in Sachem’s commitment to preparing students for success beyond the classroom, reinforcing the value of competition, collaboration, and career readiness.
