Cayuga Elementary Receives $5,000 Sprouts Foundation Grant for Greenhouse Project

Cayuga Elementary School has received a $5,000 grant from the Sprouts Foundation to support its growing greenhouse project and expand hands-on learning opportunities for students.

Principal Lori Onesto and teacher Tracey Bazarewski recently visited Sprouts Farmers Market in Centereach to accept the grant and discuss how the funding will benefit Cayuga’s students and school community.

The grant will help the school further develop its greenhouse project, providing students with more opportunities to explore plant growth and connect classroom lessons with hands-on experiences.

Cayuga Elementary thanks the Sprouts Foundation for its generosity and investment in student learning.
