On Monday, March 11, Advanced Photography students from Sachem High School North, under the guidance of Mr. Oswald and Mrs. Healy, embarked on an exciting field trip to the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead. This immersive experience allowed students to explore the vibrant marine world while capturing stunning images of aquatic life in their naturalistic habitats.

With cameras in hand, students refined their photography skills by focusing on lighting, composition and timing to create compelling images of marine creatures. The aquarium’s dynamic environment provided a unique backdrop for students to experiment with various photographic techniques, enhancing their artistic and technical abilities.

Next on the agenda for North Photography students is a visit to Robert Moses State Park, where they will delve into maritime history and photograph the iconic Fire Island Lighthouse and scenic beach landscapes. This upcoming trip promises another enriching experience, enabling students to expand their portfolios with breathtaking coastal imagery.

Stay tuned for more creative highlights from Sachem North’s talented photography students!
