Students in Sachem East High School’s Computer Repair and Network Security Career Training Program recently teamed up with the Robotics classes and FIRST Robotics team to enhance their research and competition strategies.

As part of the project, Computer Repair students built computers from scratch and set up a local area network, complete with a server and switches. Robotics Team captain Enzo Evola led the networking team in crimping cables and ensuring a smooth setup.

This new system allows six computers to connect and simulate real-world FIRST Robotics competitions using the XRC Simulator. The collaboration not only strengthened students’ technical skills but also created an exciting new way for the Robotics team to strategize and compete.
