Sachem theater students were nominated for several Teeny Awards this year, which recognize excellence in high school theater. The Teeny Awards are based on the Tony Awards, which acknowledge the best Broadway shows from the season.
High School East students were nominated for the Teeny Awards hosted by the Islip Arts Council. The council strives to encourage students to continue their education and pursue careers in performing arts and theater. Congratulations to the following High School East students:

High School North students were nominated for the Teeny Awards sponsored by the East End Arts Council. Through the Teeny Awards program, East End Arts strives to raise the bar on theater education by encouraging increased attendance and community pride at school productions, much like school sports programs.
