In honor of May being Mental Health Month, students at Sachem High School East led several activities and presentations to promote mental health awareness and healthy wellbeing.

The Renaissance Club and Student Government collaborated to set up a mental health and wellness table outside of the cafeteria on May 16. At the table, students participated in a ribbon signing activity and visited with therapy dog, Bailey. The table also had informative posters and stickers for students to learn about Mental Health Month.

In addition to the Mental Health Action Day on May 16, Sachem High School East encouraged students to wear green on Fridays throughout May as a sign of solidarity, participate in a virtual scavenger hunt with mental health and wellness challenges, and students made special morning announcements.
