Thirty-three students from marketing, career and financial management, virtual enterprise, introduction to college and culinary classes at High School East visited the Baker’s Workshop in Riverhead. Upon arrival, students entered a brand-new lecture hall built for SUNY Suffolk’s new, and always improving Culinary Art and Hospitality program.
After a walkthrough of the Suffolk application process and culinary program by Chef Jillian Sog, students took to the kitchen to create their own pizza. After eating this delicious snack, the group toured the facility's kitchen and had the opportunity to spend time in the community café. All baked goods are prepared by Suffolk students under the watchful eye of experts in the field of culinary arts, and professors with Suffolk Community College.
