Seneca Middle School raised more than $1,300 to be donated to Paws of War, an organization that places service and support dogs with United States veterans. The building held a home run derby fundraiser, and the winners of the derby presented the check to organization representatives and a service dog, Hero, during an assembly on Nov. 25. The representatives spoke to Seneca students about the Paws of War mission, as well as its programming and how the money they raised will help dogs, cats and local vets.
