Sixth graders at Seneca Middle School were treated to stories and songs from Latin America during a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Sept. 27. Latin American musician and storyteller Felix Pitre engaged the audience by sharing many of the traditions passed down to him from his family. He celebrated Latin culture with stories, songs and dance, and introduced several instruments from different Latin American countries. Students were welcomed to step on stage and perform alongside Pitre or sing along from their seats in the crowd.
