Sagamore Middle School had a fun-filled and charitable Pi Day celebration this past Friday, as students and teachers came together for a unique event that involved over 100 pies! Throughout the day, during lunch, students had the chance to pie their teachers in a spirited event that brought both laughter and excitement to the school.
Forty teachers volunteered to get pied, making for a messy but memorable event.
The event was not only about fun, but also about giving back. Thanks to the generosity of the Sagamore community, over $600 was raised for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds childhood cancer research. Principal Lisa Johnson expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated, making this Pi Day celebration one for the books.
