Sachem East High School is proud to announce that Assistant Principal John Cariddi has been selected as the 2024-2025 Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS) Administrator of the Year. With over 11 years of dedicated service as an assistant principal, Cariddi’s outstanding leadership and commitment to the school community have earned him this prestigious recognition.

Each year, CAS honors highly skilled public school administrators from Nassau and Suffolk counties. The award is given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision and achievement in the field of education. Cariddi’s work within the Sachem School District has made a tangible impact on the success and well-being of students and faculty alike.

The selection process for the CAS Administrator of the Year is known for its rigor. With over 1,500 members across 77 independent bargaining units, the committee faced an incredibly difficult task in choosing the winners, given the high caliber of nominees. This year, Cariddi stood out for his unwavering dedication to student success, his ability to inspire his colleagues, and his commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.

Cariddi will be formally recognized for this outstanding achievement at the CAS Delegate Assembly, taking place on Wednesday, April 2, at the Mezza Luna Restaurant in Hauppauge. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a reception, followed by the awards ceremony. During the event, Cariddi will be celebrated for his contributions to education, leadership and the community.

The Sachem East High School community, along with all of Long Island, looks forward to congratulating Cariddi and celebrating his well-deserved recognition as the 2024-2025 CAS Administrator of the Year.
